The Must-Have Tool For Every Successful Pharmacy
Cost Of Goods (COG) Feature
If we had a nickel for every time a Pharmacy asked for Cost Of Goods to be displayed on the same screen as their benefits check information, well let's just say we'd have a LOT of nickels stacked up. You asked...we delivered...COG
Bulk Patient NDC Checks
Due to an overwhelming number of requests, Pharmacies now have the ability to run a PMS report on a specific patient population, and upload that report into EZSCRIPTRx to run a specific NDC code against the patient report. This will identify which patients are covered for that specific NDC. With this feature, Pharmacists can use the data to increase profitability, without increasing new script volume. In this first version, your Patient list should also include their insurance card information. Next versions will allow you to simply upload the Patient's Last Name, First Name, DOB, Gender & Zip code, and you will have the option to check their Pharmacy Eligibility (BIN, PCN, Group ID, Cardholder ID) simultaneously while we bulk check that NDC.
Historical NDC Results
By clicking the Credit Counter Button the user will have the ability to see the past 15 days of ALL NDC Coverage Checks. You can sort by BIN, PCN, GRP, Patient and/or NDC.
Look For These Features:
Ability to specify the specific quantity of a medication that will be checked for coverage, before actually clicking "Check Coverage"
High/Low Insurance Pay:
In cases where we have multiple reports of Primary Insurance Remit Amounts for the same NDC and the same insurance plan, the user will be able to see the minimum and maximum insurance pay.
Online real-time validation of new Providers added by Pharmacies. Just enter the NPI code and EZSCRIPTRx retrieves the Provider's first and last name from the official source of NPI codes.
Pharmacy Not Enrolled Warning:
If we have detected that your Pharmacy is not enrolled or does not have a current contract with a Payor, you will be shown a warning, so you don’t waste credits with an insurance plan you cannot process.
Allows you to quickly connect to dailymed.nlm.nih.gov for in-depth Drug information.
These Are Also In The Bag:
Ability to select/deselect which NDCs will be checked for coverage when browsing EZSCRIPTRx Categories (this ability was previously present only in the Rx Search section).
Optimization Algorithm Improvements Checks:
As we feed more and more data into the system we have been able to trim the number of low performing NDCs that we check, which results in your credits going further.
Toggle All On or Off:
Now you have the ability to toggle all NDCs On or Off and individually before you click the CHECK COVERAGE button.
Clear Search Results:
Now you have the ability to clear all NDCs from the search results section with a click of a button.
Self-Service Pharmacy Sales Data Upload:
Ability to upload your Pharmacy sales data, so that your past coverage history is combined in real-time when you check for coverage. Plus all Providers and Patients in your PMS will be able to be added for faster pre-loading when checking for eligibility and coverage. Regularly uploading of your sales data also allows you to get access to insurance pay data from our user network. This may or may not be self-service for your specific Pharmacy depending on the PMS software you utilize. We are adding new PMS import formats every week.
Search By GPI:
The Rx Search section now allows you to find NDCs by browsing the MediSpan database categories, instead of specifying the exact drug and strength. Browsing the categories enables you to find other drugs in the same therapeutic category or GPI. For each category, you will see in brackets how many NDCs can be retrieved from it.
Bulk NDC Verification:
Ability to bulk import Patients from your PMS and check the coverage of a particular NDC.
More New Arrivals:
In cases where our system does not have minimum/maximum insurance pay data for a specific NDC, under a specific insurance plan, you can now see average insurance remit (considering all payers we have data for). This may serve as a proxy to determine if it may be worth your while to check for real-time coverage or skip the NDC altogether. Learn More
Aberrant List Warning:
As some NDC codes may trigger warnings by some payers, every time an NDC code in these aberrant lists matches the patient’s insurance, it will show it. Learn More
Quick Increase/Decrease Dispense Quantity:
Add more packages just with one click instead of calculating double, triple or more units. Especially useful with topicals with package sizes in grams with decimals.
Direct NDC Search:
The Rx Search section will now allow you to find a specific NDC just by entering its 11 digit code. A big time saver if you know exactly what you are looking for.
More New Arrivals:
Custom NDC Bundles:
You will be able to send us a request for Custom NDC Bundles to be displayed for each provider and patient you work on, for quicker selection and coverage check of the medications you prefer.
Dual Provider Entry Method:
In addition to adding a provider by typing his/her NPI number, if the NPI Registry delays longer than usual in validating it, you will be able to enter the first and last name manually.
Expand/Collapse GPI Categories:
In the Rx Search section, by Therapeutic Category method (also nicknamed Search by GPI), you will now be able to not only to search categories by text match, but also browse categories and subcategories in the hierarchy. You can then expand and collapse them at your convenience until you find the appropriate category to retrieve the NDCs.
Customer Service Enhancements:
You can now contact our Technical Support, simply by clicking on the bottom right corner question mark (“?”) icon, and you will be able to search for How To articles or submit your inquiry through our new EZ Service Desk.
